Critters Without Litters is a high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter and wellness clinic located in Humboldt County, California. Our mission is to improve the lives of companion animals by providing affordable spaying, neutering, and wellness care. We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician with the following skills:

• Monitor and care for animals before, during, and after surgery

• Intubate, medicate, and prep animals for surgery

• Assist veterinarian during spay and neuter surgeries and other medical procedures

• Prepare surgical equipment and ensure a sterile environment

• Administer medications and vaccinations

• Educate clients on post-operative care and answer questions

• Perform blood draws and laboratory tests

• Maintain accurate medical records and patient files

• Maintain daily, weekly, monthly controlled substance drug log

• Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure the highest standard of care for all patients

Qualifications include previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and compassion, patience, and empathy towards animals and their people.

Compensation begins at $25 to $35 per hour, depending on experience, and we offer paid holidays, paid vacation, and reimbursement for continuing education and license fees.
